All the brand's products are characterised by a remarkable attention towards environmental sustainability, manufactured using materials which comply with stringent international standards and fitted with technologies designed to reduce water consumption.
CRISTINA Rubinetterie is an international symbol of Made in Italy quality and aesthetics. Its products are distributed in over 80 countries throughout the world and are appreciated in virtue of meticulous attention to detail, potential for the development of tailored solutions and commitment to customer satisfaction, all distinctive added values which make the brand unique.
The story of CRISTINA Rubinetterie began after the Second World War, when Ezio Cristina founded the company in 1949, in Gozzano (NO). It soon became a reference point in the taps and fittings sector due to constant R&D investments.
Over time, the founder's sons Alberto and Riccardo became involved in the company and pursued an entrepreneurial development policy grounded in tradition, transforming the brand into an international leader of the sector. Towards the late 1980s the company undertook a strategic operation which culminated in the acquisition of the company SILFRA
, specialised in the manufacture of soil pipes, electronic and time-controlled taps and fittings, giving rise to Gruppo Cristina.
Over the years, CRISTINA has evolved all aspects of production. For example, in 2007 the Gozzano logistics facility was enlarged to create over 2000 sqm of indoor space for a new, entirely automated warehouse.
CRISTINA's attraction to project culture manifests itself in an array of collaborations with numerous designers and architects for the creation of unique and timeless collections, which seamlessly combine creativity, aesthetics and functionality, in line with the company's spirit.
In May 2017 the company inaugurated its first ever Milan-based showroom, with the aim of fostering dialogue with designers and reinforcing brand awareness: four windows located on the historic via Pontaccio, in the heart of the Brera design district.
In June 2017 the company announced its acquisition by Gruppo Caleffi, Made in Italy leader in the manufacture of heating, air conditioning, plumbing and drainage parts. Alberto Cristina and Marco Caleffi played a key role in guiding this important operation, intent on guaranteeing seamless
continuity for the brand at an international level, thanks to the creation of new commercial synergies.
The company's internal Research & Development department is its pride and joy, entirely dedicated to the creation of innovative solutions to satisfy different customer requirements.
Over the years CRISTINA has distinguished itself on the market as a pioneer of style and trends. In 1968 it became the first company in Europe to introduce the thermostatic valve mixer and propose a range of 100 surface colours, thanks to the opening of its own painting division followed by a galvanisation division, thus revolutionising the sector.
At CRISTINA, research into quality is a strategic objective which inspires design and a search for raw materials of excellence which are ecological, characterised by extraordinary technical performance and durability over time, without ever compromising aesthetics.
For example, in 2003 the company made a commitment to use stainless steel (guaranteed by the quality brand issued by Centro Inox), founding its own dedicated division. An ideal solution for bathroom and kitchen products, offering an exclusive image and modern appeal, extremely hygienic, easy to clean and eco-friendly, with over 80% recycled material, thus reducing environmental impact.
With four production sites located in the upper Novara province, a total of 35,000 indoor sqm facilities and 250 employees, CRISTINA Rubinetterie distinguishes itself in virtue of its exclusively Made in Italy production.
Bucking the global market trend, the company has chosen not to delocalise and to maintain its own entire production cycle, thus guaranteeing utmost product quality.
Indeed quality and meticulous attention to detail are cornerstones of the CRISTINA ethos, enabling the company to obtain important international certifications for single products and to conquer even the most stringent and selective foreign markets.
While remaining firmly rooted in its country of origin, the spirit of CRISTINA Rubinetterie is decidedly international.
Currently the company is present in over 80 countries throughout the world, with particular focus on Europe (France, Switzerland, Spain, the UK, Germany, The Netherlands and Austria), North Africa, The Far East, Oceania and America.
Indeed over 60% of company turnover is generated on foreign markets which recognise CRISTINA as a symbol of Italian quality and style.
CRISTINA Rubinetterie is the ideal partner for architects and interior designers.
