Designed by Naomi Hasuike of Makio Hasuike & Co, the CRISTINA Brera showroom is a place of work, reserved for professionals whilst open to collaborations, events and creative exchange.
On the ground floor, windows overlook via Pontaccio, taking in the atmosphere of the Brera District Design. Relief stoneware walls, neutral colours, LED back-lit oak slats and an advance lighting system act as a backdrop for the collections, a relaxed and welcoming space for visitors. On the lower floor, the workshop offers a view of the company's offer, from showerheads and columns to stainless steel taps for bathrooms and kitchens.
Elisa Ossino is the designer of the Cristina Rubinetterie new showroom located on Via Pontaccio in Milan. Her vision focuses on a conception of space that goes beyond the formal abstraction of large displays that, often, just display the product, and she imagines a place with a strong experiential value. The project ideally tends towards nature and sustainability with the choice of materials, textures, and palettes, emphasising the bond between the objects and their functional value.
“The collaboration with Cristina was born under this challenge to look beyond the formal conventions of the exhibition spaces and enhance the experience, involving the visitor in a sensory knowledge inspired by the naturalness of water,” explains Elisa Ossino.
Elisa Ossino has created In the Works for Cristina for Fuori Salone 2021. This is an ephemeral apparatus, inside the actual showroom acting as a teaser for her project. This temporary structure, characterised by refined subliminal quotes to the Nouveau réalismepackaging, is part of the desire to outline a kind of open project, leading from the autumn Fair to the next spring one, for which Elisa Ossino will design not only the shapes of the new showroom but also those of the stand at the Exhibition Fair.
“We have chosen to narrate the work of the upcoming months by generating a storytelling of the birth of the new showroom, but also of our work in progress at this time of restart. A time to be lived with the curiosity for the changes revealed during the works, and the responsibility of a moment in which we are rewriting the very idea of living,” says Elisa Ossino.
