From Yellow to… Green!

From Yellow to… Green!

The company claim “From Yellow to... Green!” is becoming more and more a firm ethical awareness and consequent concrete action.

Here is the news on the subject:

PACKAGING
PACKAGING

Progressive introduction of an internal component to packaging boxes, made of cardboard pulp. A material chosen for its excellent cushioning properties, which protects the product during transport ensuring its integrity until destination, it is sustainable, 100% recycled and recyclable, biodegradable product, easily stackable (thus allowing a reduction in storage volumes). The molded fiber, meets the requirements for modern industrial packaging but, at the same time, helps to reduce the impact of the life cycle assessment of the entire finished product on the environment by meeting precise dictates and obligations of continuous improvement of the environmental management system according to ISO14001. The product, deriving from recycling processes and being recyclable again, allows a reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, is therefore eco-sustainable and meets the standards of European green points.

The QR code on the outside of the boxes allows you to identify the materials used for packaging and its disposal.

Production waste is being sorted with increasing attention to allow more specific disposal by type.

Low-energy LED lamps are progressively used in all plant lighting systems.

WAREHOUSE EFFICIENCIES
WAREHOUSE EFFICIENCIES

The company has finalized the aggregation of the assembly and shipping units of the CRISTINA and SILFRA branded products in the single site of Fontaneto d’Agogna, this warehouse efficiency has led not only to a better management of the work and production flow, but also to the simplification of bureaucratic procedures and fewer transport operations aiming to reduce waste.

The series introduced in 2016 include the reduction of water consumption, with increasingly marked progress in the area of sustainability.

WORKER WELFARE
WORKER WELFARE

The redevelopment of the internal spaces of the plant, which are more luminous, ventilated and salubrious, is also aimed at improving the well-being of the workers.

In our company, we value the reuse of waste material generated from mechanical processing.

At our Gozzano headquarters, we have a mechanical workshop where various processes are carried out. These processes involve working with both brass drawn bars and castings. The goal is to obtain the main body of the mixer, complete with water passage cavities and locations for attaching the various parts that make up the finished product.
In this workshop, we collect bar remnants, shavings from turning, and casting scraps. All the brass “production waste” is reintroduced into the production chain because the material is entirely reusable. Our supplier delivers new brass bars, ensuring a sustainable production cycle.
Additionally, in Gozzano there is a department dedicated to analyzing products that cannot be reintegrated into the production cycle. Operators separate the components of the mixer, collecting the metallic and plastic parts. These parts, which do not fit into the brass recovery process, follow the disposal procedures as required by law.

EXHIBITORS FOR LOCAL FAIRS: SUSTAINABLE ELEGANCE

Renewing the look of local fairs, we have adopted displays made entirely of recycled and 100% recyclable cardboard.

This choice is not just a gesture towards the environment, but a true statement of style and innovation. The durable and distinctive displays communicate our commitment to sustainable practices, demonstrating that respect for the environment can go hand in hand with aesthetics and
functionality.

INNOVATION AND SUSTAINABILITY: A STEP TOWARDS THE FUTURE WITH THE RECOVERY OF PLASTIC

We are happy to announce an important progress in our journey towards sustainability: the collaboration between CRISTINA Rubinetterie and iMilani, a leading company in the molding of plastic crates and containers for over fifty years.

Thanks to this project, our disused plastic crates were transformed into new resources: after being taken from our company, they were ground and subsequently transformed by iMilani into new plastic containers, robust and recycled, ready for a new cycle of life.

This project demonstrates how collaboration between companies can shape a more sustainable and responsible future.
