Rude House

Outdoor Showers, Sx

In Tor de’ Cenci, on the southern outskirts of Rome, an apartment with a brutalist soul overlooking the Castelporziano Nature Reserve has been given a new lease on life.
This 120-square-meter home, featuring expansive windows and a fully equipped 40-square-meter terrace, captures abundant natural light and opens the view to the surrounding greenery, stretching all the way to the Roman coastline. Named Casa Rude for its sensual use of raw materials—such as the exposed, unplastered reinforced concrete of the pillars and beams that frame the living areas—the residence embodies a striking dialogue between structure and space.
